Obituary of Armand Pereira
Armand “Al” Pereira,76, of Lyndhurst, died on Friday, October 18, 2019. Mr. Pereira was born and raised in Portugal. In 1960, he moved to the United States, settling in Hackensack and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for the past 53 years. He was the Owner of Park Avenue Gold Outlet of Rutherford since 1982. Armand is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Frances E. (nee Scardino) Pereira, by his loving children, Susan Pereira, Stephanie Pereira and her husband, Rick Ellis, and the late Anthony F. Pereira (1992) and by his adored grandchildren, Ariel, Anthony and Noah. Also survived by his sisters and brother, Darlindo (Susan) Pereira, Maria (Manuel) Lourenco and Benni (Abilio) Alves and by many nieces, nephews and friends. He had a special bond with his grandchildren which filled his life with love and pure joy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 4 - 8 PM. All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 23rd at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a memorial mass will be offered. Inurnment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.
In lieu of flowers, Armand's family requests donations be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or Bergen Humane Society, 221 Stuyvesant Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.
