Obituary of Dorothy A. Giancarlo

Giancarlo, Dorothy A. (nee Toomey), 91, of Lyndhurst, died on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.  Dorothy was born in Ohio, raised in Braddock, PA, and moved to Lyndhurst in 1943 when she married her husband, the late Onorio Giancarlo.  Mrs. Giancarlo worked as a receptionist for Aon Incorporated in Lyndhurst for 15 years.  She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Onorio Giancarlo in 2000 and by her sister and brothers, Jean McWilliams, Regis Toomey, and Pat Toomey.  Dorothy is the loving mother of James Giancarlo and his wife, the late Vivian Giancarlo and Louise Santos and her husband, the late Frank Santos.  She is further survived by her cherished grandchildren, Taryn Paglio and her husband, Kenny, Marisa Elliott and her husband, Sean, Jamie and Vincent Giancarlo, Howard J. and Steven E. Smith and his wife, Maureen, and Gina L. Hirth and her husband, Tom, by her 11 dear great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild, and by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Chapel Service at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at 11 AM.  Cremation Private.  In lieu of flowers, Dorothy's family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online at STJUDE.ORG/DONATE
