Obituary of Eugene J. Verdino

Verdino, Eugene J., 79, of Lyndhurst, died on Thursday, November 28, 2019.  He was a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst.  Mr. Verdino proudly served in the United States Air Force and after his honorable discharge, worked for the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 825 of Springfield for over 40 years, retiring in 2006. Gene is survived by his loving daughters Stacey A. Verdino and Dawn M. Mason and their mother, Patricia Verdino,  by his cherished granddaughter, Melissa Cirigliano and her husband Anthony and his great granddaughter, Francesca Marie, by his brother, Victor Verdino and his wife, Lynn, his nephews Thomas and his wife, Cori and their sons, Christopher and John Thomas, and Paul and his wife, Bridget and their daughter, Keira, his nieces, Susie and Norma and nephews, Jerry & Bruce and their families, as well as numerous cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, December 2, 2019 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 3 at 9 AM then to St. Mary's Church, 91 Home Avenue, Rutherford where at 10:30 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, Eugene's family requests donations be made in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516 (click here for donation form) or online at support.woundedwarriorproject.org
