Obituary of Rigoberto Silva

Rigoberto Silva, 80, died on Sunday, December 29, 2019.  Rigoberto was born and raised in Colombia and was a proud veteran of the Colombian Navy.  He married his wife, Estia (nee Ibanez) on April 19, 1964, and together they came to the states in 1985, where they lived in Hasbrouck Heights and currently as residents of Lyndhurst.  He worked as Chief Steward for Kem Manufacturing in Paterson until his retirement.  

Rigoberto is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years, Estia, by his loving children, Lucymar and her husband Ariel Romero, Jeannette and her husband Antonio Torres, and Rigoberto Silva, by his dear grandchildren, Ariel Romero Jr., Jennifer Koba and her husband John, Vannessa Romero, Kevin Romero, Antonio Torres, Isabella Silva, and Rigo Silva.  Rigoberto was a good man, a loving son, husband, and father and will be missed deeply by his family.

Friends and family are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 6 to 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 10 AM, then to Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington, where an 11 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment will be at Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington following the mass.
