Obituary of Anthony Pinto

Please share a memory of Anthony to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Pinto, Antonio M., 93, of Lyndhurst, died on Monday, February 10, 2020.  Mr. Pinto was born and raised in Newark, lived in Harrison for 13 years, and was a resident of Lyndhurst for the past 50 years.  Anthony worked for De Massi Cadillac in Lyndhurst for several years, quickly becoming the head mechanic at their Riverside Avenue location.  He then worked for Brogan Cadillac in Ridgewood.  Tony's level of expertise in everything he did was precise and meticulous.  He was an auto mechanic by trade but was also very skilled in woodworking and all things electrical and mechanical, making him a jack of all trades.  In everything he did in life, his main concern was getting the job done right.  He was also musically talented, being able to play the accordian and guitar.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife, Irene C. Pinto (nee Boyce) in 1994 and by his four sisters and two brothers.  Anthony is survived by his loving children, Daniel Pinto, Anthony C. Pinto and his wife, JoAnn, and Joseph J. Pinto and his wife, Bertha, by his cherished grandchildren, Valerie Lynn Zawistowski and her husband, Steven and Kimberly Beth, Jessa, and Joseph Pinto, by his dear great grandsons, Jaxon and Jake, and by many nieces and nephews.
