Metzinger, Marilyn (nee Paterno), 67, of Lyndhurst, died on Friday, February 14, 2020. Mrs. Metzinger was born in Hackensack and has been alifelong resident of Lyndhurst. She was a Lunch Aide at the Memorial Campus here in Lyndhurst for the past 8 years. Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 46 years, Paul R. Metzinger, by her loving children, Paul V. Metzinger, Bryan J. Metzinger and his wife, Justine and by the late Jason "JJ" Metzinger (2011), by her sister, Kathy and Dan Burns, her brother, Anthony and Mari-Angela Paterno, by her nieces and her beloved dog, Lucy.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 from 4 to 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst, where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Marilyn's memory to Crohn's & Colitis Foundation
