Obituary of Catherine M. Spero

Spero, Catherine M., 90, of Lyndhurst, died on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.  Catherine was born and raised in Brooklyn before moving to Lyndhurst in 1952 where she was a resident for over 65 years.  She worked as a bookkeeper for Heardsdale, Inc., in Manhattan before the company relocated to Lyndhurst in the early 1980s where she continued working from home.  She loved playing bingo, taking trips to Atlantic City, and enjoyed horse racing.  Catherine is predeceased by her parents, Frank and Madeline Spero (nee Cantasano) and by her sisters and brother, Marie Bade, Camille Daniels, and Vincent Spero.  She is survived by her loving brother, Frank Spero and his wife, Stephanie, and by her nieces and nephews, Maddy Hayo and her husband, Dave, Cathy Fortier and her husband, Stan, Vincent Spero and his wife, Jeannette, and Robert Bade and his wife, Lisa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Calvary Cemetery, 49-02 Laurel Hill Blvd., Queens, NY 11377 on Friday, March 20, 2020.  All relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at the cemetery at 11 AM where the graveside service will be offered and interment will take place.
