Eileen was an incredibly strong, funny, and compassionate woman who will be truly missed by many. She was a dear friend to my father, Thomas Roughneen. May she rest in peace with Our Lord.

We called her Aunt Eileen because she was a dear family friend who helped my parents and us 6 (at that time) children
She was always a sensible force in the house and neighborhood
She helped me get a summer job one year between semesters at Clemson
I’ll never forget the time everyone was celebrating the life of Uncle Willie at a gathering after his funeral.
She told me that’s how the Irish were!
God bless her and all her family.

Eileen was a great friend to our family and especially a regular pal to my Mom when they were both bring up their kids. She shared stroller walks, time at the soda shop for occasional refreshment when Mom had an iced coffee. My memories include holiday times in NY, summer evenings by Sullivans and our Moms helping with child care needs. In later years, we visited with her when she traveled to Florida, attended our daughters confirmation and help look in on Dad as he slowed down. She and they were a great example of their co-supportive generation.
She will be remembered well and may our families be rejoined at the table of Peace and Joy

Eileen was a great long time friend to The Fanning Family, and my " young boy" memories of her go all the way back to 1592 Third Ave. In latter years when we traveled together to Ireland she always brought kindness and humor as her companions.
Anita & I will always remember her with Love.
