Obituary of James D. Lago, Jr.

Lago, James D., Jr., 68, of Lyndhurst, died on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at his home, surrounded by his family. Mr Lago was born in Passaic and has been a life long resident of Lyndhurst. He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Vietnam War from 1970 to 1972. James was the owner of J & D Iron Works of Lyndhurst for the past 45 years. He loved to cook, saltwater fish, and was a familiar face at ShopRite. James is survived by his beloved wife, Deborah (nee Wilson) Lago, by his loving children, Daniel Lago and his wife, Susan and Mara Dixon and her husband, Robert, by his cherished grandchildren, Emma Margaret and Isla James Dixon and Ava Claire and Ryder Lago, and by his Shetland Sheepdogs.  He was predeceased by his sister, Maria Karlson.
