Steve, I just found out today of your dads passing. He was a great man. My few years at Graytor I really enjoyed my time working with him. He knew both my granddads more than I did. It was a great joy having him tell me stories about them. My condolences.

This hand written, caring note written about two years ago was such an encouragement to me as the Founder and Director of Expect Hope - a Christ-centered home for unsupported, expectant women. Mr. Toron stood for life with us and we grieve with you during his passing. We are grateful for his life and legacy.

Dear Stephen, Lisa and Family,
Paula and I would like to express our condolences to you on the passing of Armand. He was a great man and a better boss. Through him and Graytor, my family and I have a lot to be thankful for. To this day, I still have and use the principles he taught me in my work effort and the way I conduct myself. I hope you and the rest of your family take care of each other in these difficult times.

Armand Toron was a kind and generous man. Over 30 or so years that I knew him, he became a good friend as well as a patient. We had many "father-son" talks and he became a supporter and contributor to Expect Hope in the Bronx, where we take care of women who chose life for their unborn and have no other place to go. I will greatly miss this amazing gentleman.

This lovely chap has been our neighbour for 15 years, we just about moved in at the same time in 2005 he will be missed by us and many at One Orient Way. How he loved to tell us stories, and show us photos, of his sweetheart and future wife Audrey from 4th grade; he missed her so very much and now they are together!!!
Our sincere condolences to his family who he loved and spoke of often with great affection.
May he rest in peace and fly high forever.

Stephen,
I am so sad to learn of your Dad’s passing . A “ true gentlemen “. He was so dedicated to the UMCC PLAY FOR PINK Breast Cancer Foundation golf tournament . I had the privilege of working with him as the Chairperson . He couldn’t do enough to help me . That was just the person he was....caring and kind . He had such a cute smile .
I remember talking to him about both of my parents growing up in Lyndhurst and my father going to Fordham . A small world .
Now your Dad is reunited with your Mom . And they are smiling and happy .
All my love,
Linda Cary

A good and generous man in every respect. His love and kindness extended to family, friends, professional, civic and social aspects. I had the honor of serving with him as a Trustee on the Felician College Board. He always told me he liked me in spite of the fact that I am a Democrat. Lots of laughs together. I always enjoyed his company, especially his unique sense of humor.
I remember his parents and sisters with fondness and respect. My condolences to Steve, Lisa, his granddaughter Courtnie and his sister, Norma.

Though we'd only known Armand for a short time, we felt that he had a kind spirit. We now learned that he served in the U.S. Army and we've made a donation, in his memory, to the N.J. Dept. of Military and Veterans Affairs. We hope you rest in peace, dear neighbor. And we send a grateful, final salute to an officer and a gentleman.

Our hearts filled with sorrow upon hearing the news. Armand was the nicest neighbor in our condominium building. He was a very kind, pleasant, and respectful person. A true gentlemen. Armand always rushed to help open the door for the stroller and always had a funny joke to share during an elevator ride. We are deeply saddened to see the “gone flying” sign on his door. Our sincere condolences to Armand’s family. May the soul of Armand rest in peace.

I was lucky to have known Armand for the last few years as co-chair of Play for PINK (golf & dinner event to support breast cancer research), which he has supported in memory of his his wife Audrey for over twenty years at Upper Montclair Country Club. It was during the times I met with him and his son Stephen to discuss the event that I had the opportunity to get to know him as the gentle, loving, caring man he was. I was always touched by his love of his wife and family. His face lite up when he shared photos of his granddaughter. Getting to know him was heart warming and special to me, as he was so kind and thoughtful. I will miss his smile and stories about his life that he shared so willingly over our lunch meetings. God bless Armand and his loving family. Lois Farese

Our condolences to the Toron family. Armand was a true friend to our family and a trusted confidant of our Dad Ray, or as Armand affectionately called him “Sugar Ray”. In addition to his expertise in the printing, banking business and numerous philanthropic efforts, Armand was an accomplished pilot with an innate love of aviation. Although he has left this world, rest assured that he now flys with the angels (and is probably imparting some sound advice on how they can improve their flying skills).

Carolann and I are deeply saddened by the death of Armand. Over a period of 40 years we played golf together, had dinner, and many good times. Carol played with Audrey and as Lady's Chair was involved with Armand in Play for Pink. Atmand supported it enthusiastically. The world was a better place because of Armand Toron.

I'm so glad to have known Armand, both personally and through the wonderful stories heard about him. It did, and will always, warm my heart when I recall a special dinner. He had already welcomed Pat into the family with an open heart. It meant so much to me that he cared enough to get to know me, Pat's long-time friend. He had a special phrase to describe the friendship between Pat and me. (That phrase will always bring a smile to my heart and a wonderful memory of Armand.) An amazing man has now been welcomed into the arms of his beloved wife. Continued thoughts, prayers, and love to Steve, Pat, Lisa, Courtnie, and Norma.
With Condolences, Donna

He was probably the first to come and say hello when my wife and I moved into the building 7 years ago. He always had a smile and a funny comment, or a compliment and was always happy to see his neighbors. Many times we would sit over a drink (just me) and discuss the problems of the world and figure out solutions, some sillier than others, but I always enjoyed our political conversations. Those were the best and would probably rival Abbott and Costello. He told us many stories about his flying days, his airplane, some of the adventures he had making deliveries to clients. He was always ready to listen or help in any way and always had good advice. He was one of the reasons that made this building a great place to be. Now he has gone flying once again, among the clouds.

Always enjoyed our time on the golf course or at dinner at the Club. Not many people know Armand also volunteered his offices as we assembled the documents and pictures for the 100th UMCC Anniversary book. The annual Play for P.I.N.K. Tournament was sponsored by Armand and named after Audrey.
My heartfelt condolences.
