Obituary of Robert M. Marrone, Jr.

Marrone, Jr., Robert M., 75, of Bloomingdale, died on Tuesday, May 5, 2020. Mr. Marrone was born in Newark, raised in Lyndhurst, and has been a resident of Bloomingdale for the past 4 years. Robert worked as a Toll Collector  for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority for 20 years, retiring in 2006. He loved the Yankees and Giants, animals and the outdoors, in particular bass fishing on the lake in his boat. He lived a life of sobriety for over 30 years along with many of his AA friends. Robert is survived by his beloved parents, Gilda (nee DeMatteo) and the late Robert M. Marrone Sr., by his devoted daughter, Barbara Morse and her husband, Jeffrey and by his dear granddaughters, Natalie and Emma. Also survived by his brothers and sister, Daniel Marrone (Roseanne), Audrey Callahan (Jack), and Joseph Marrone, and former spouse and lifetime friend, Genevieve Marrone, and many helpful friends and neighbors.

A Private Burial is directed under the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Robert’s memory to Lung Cancer Research Foundation
