Obituary of Lorraine Scherer

Scherer, Lorraine (nee DeMarco), 69, died, peacefully on Monday, August 17, 2020.  Mrs. Scherer was born in Hackensack, living most of her life in Lyndhurst and a current resident of Towaco, these past 42 years.  Lorraine was a prestine homemaker, both here and in her home down the Jersey shore,  Her life's passion was loving and caring for her family, her husband, Bill and her grandchildren.  Holidays, family gatherings and spending time down the shore were all so important to her and she did them well.  Lorraine is survived by her beloved husband of 47 years this November, William M. Scherer, DDS., by her loving children, Billy Scherer, Georgine Whyte & her husband, Sean, Daniel Scherer and Christina Scherer, by her dear grandchildren, Liam, Shane and Kieran, her brother, Anthony De Marco and sister, Gerardine Wartel and their families. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 9AM.  Then to Sacred Heart Church, where at 11AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment private, Holy Cross Mausoleum, North Arlington.  Please express your condolences to Lorraine;s family by using our tribute wall.
