Obituary of Barbara J. Hunter

Hunter, Barbara J. (nee Bryce), 62, of Fairfield, died on Friday, November 20, 2020.  Mrs. Hunter grew up and lived in Lyndhurst and was a resident of Fairfield since 2002.  A devoted Registered Nurse, Barbara dedicated her life to her profession.  She began her nursing career at Beth Israel Hospital and then St. Mary's General Hospital, both in Passaic before working at St. Joseph's University Medical Center in Paterson for the past 8 years.  She was a caring wife, mother, and friend who will be missed by many.  Barbara is survived by her beloved husband of 36 years, Frank Hunter and their two loving children, Christina and Frankie Hunter, by her sister, Kathleen Powell, by her brother-in-law, Louis Hunter and his wife, Demetra and their children, Stefanos, Alex, and Louie, and by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.  She was predeceased by her brother, William Bryce.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, November 23, 2020 from 6 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 24 at 9 AM then to St. Michael's Church, Lyndhurst where a funeral mass will be offered at 10 AM.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
