Adams, Bernice (nee Hollinger), 90, of Belleville, died on Friday, December 4, 2020.  Mrs. Adams grew up in Newark and when she got married, moved to East Orange where she raised her family.  She moved to Belleville in 1991 where she was a resident for 29 years.  Bernice worked as a certified nurse assistant before she became an environmental service worker at Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark.  She worked there for 18 years, retiring in 1997 to care for her husband with Alzheimer's disease.  Bernice is predeceased by her beloved husband, Ernest Adams, Jr. (2001) and survived by her loving daughters, Judy Lynn Adams and Deborah Williams and her husband, Robert, by her dear grandchildren, Mark Adams, Nicole Adams, Michael Adams, Lorraine Swain, and Anthony Adams, by her cherished great grandchildren, Erica Adams, Mark Adams, Jr., Qurie Copeland, Tianna Swain, Brandon Adams, Markeis Swain, and Zaire Adams, by many great-great grandchildren, and by her adored nieces, Karen Evans and Clarice Godfrey.  "The memory of you is a keepsake that will never fade away. God has you, but we forever have you in our hearts."

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, December 11, 2020 from 11 AM - 1 PM.  Cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers, Bernice's family requests donations be made in her memory to a charity of your choice.  Please express condolences to Bernice's family by using our Tribute Wall.
