Obituary of Bernice Frega

Frega, Bernice (nee Gallagher), 88, of Lyndhurst, died on Friday, April 16, 2021.  Mrs. Frega was born and raised in Jersey City, where she attended Ferris High School. Bernice has been a resident of Lyndhurst since 1962.    She worked for Diamond Chemical Company, East Rutherford for 35 years, before retirering in 2016 and has been a Lunch Aide for Roosevelt School. Lyndhurst for the past 10 years.  Bernice will always be remembered for her loving, kind, selfless manner.  A strong woman, who loved her family and was devoted to them.  Bernice is predeceased by her husband, Salvatore J. Frega in April 2002. by her daughters, Antoinette "Toni" Ferrara, and Donna Walsh in March 2020 and her sister, Eileen Dachniewicz.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Kathy De Stefano, Patricia Espiritu & her husband, Jason and Carolyn Collins & her husband, Bill, by her dear grandchildren, Nicky, Tiffany, Joey, Gianna, Jaclyn, Ryan and Delaney, and her great grandchildren, Julianna, Aurelius, Harper Toni and Mason, her sisters and brother, Mary Mooney, Margaret De Fazio, Patrick Gallagher.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Monday, April 19, 2021 from 5 to 8pm.    All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at 9AM then to Sacred Heart Church, where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Please visit our website at nazarememorialhome.com
