Obituary of Carlos Rolando Gutierrez

Gutierrez, Carlos Rolando, 66, of Wayne, died suddenly on Monday, May 3, 2021 at his home.  Mr. Gutierrez was born and raised in Talca, Chile and immigrated to the United States in 1991.  He first moved to Bogota, NJ before settling in Hackensack where he lived for 16 years.  Carlos then lived in Wanaque before moving to Wayne where he was a resident since 2019.  He worked as a landscaper for Bergen Landscaping of Paramus for 30 years.  Carlos was a hardworking man, often working two or three jobs.  He wore his heart on his sleeve and was always there for his family, friends, and neighbors.  

Carlos is survived by his beloved wife of 35 years, Olivia Morales.  He was the loving father of the late Katherinne Gutierrez (2021), Carla Gutierrez, Pamela Gutierrez, and Cindy Gutierrez and the adored grandfather of Mia, Catalia, and Adrianna.  He is further survived by family and friends here and in Chile.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5 - 9 PM.  A memorial service will begin at 8:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Gutierrez family to help care for Katherinne's daughter, Adrianna.  Please express your condolences to the Gutierrez family by using our Tribute Wall.
