Obituary of Katherinne Olivia Gutierrez

Gutierrez, Katherinne Olivia, 34, of Wayne, died suddenly on Monday, May 3, 2021 at her home.  Ms. Gutierrez was born in Talca, Chile and immigrated to the United States in 1991 with her family.  They first moved to Bogota, NJ before settling in Hackensack where she lived for 16 years.  She then lived in Wanaque before moving to Wayne where she was a resident since 2019.  Katherinne proudly served in the United States Army from 2008 - 2019, being deployed in Iraq in 2010 and earning the rank of sergeant.  She was highly intelligent and put much emphasis on her education and career, becoming a registered nurse in 2012 working for Hackensack University Medical Center for the past 9 years.  Katherinne was an amazing nurse, bravely treating patients in the COVID-19 units during the current coronavirus pandemic.  She was a strong, selfless woman, hardworking like her father, and would give anything for her family, espeically her daughter, Adrianna, who was her world.

Katherinne was the beloved mother of Adrianna Walker, the cherished daughter of the late Carlos Gutierrez (2021) and Olivia Morales, fiancée of the late Domonic Walker (2021), dear sister of Carla, Pamela, and Cindy Gutierrez, and aunt of Mia and Catalia.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, May 21, 2021 from 5 - 9 PM.  A memorial service will begin at 8:30 PM.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Gutierrez family to help care for Katherinne's daughter, Adrianna.  Please express your condolences to the Gutierrez family by using our Tribute Wall.
