Obituary of Thomas R. Longo

Longo, Thomas R., 71, of Lyndhurst, died on Saturday, May 22, 2021.  Mr. Longo was born in Newark, raised in North Arlington, and was a resident of Lyndhurst since 1974.  Tommy boasted about traveling the world three times while working for Eastern Airlines.  In 1984, he purchased a Wonder Bread truck, which he used to begin his business, Briarwood Landscaping.  He was proudly self-taught and grew Briarwood Landscaping to this very day.  Tommy was predeceased by his beloved mother, Theresa F. Longo in 2013 and is survived by his niece, Jaclyn Longo, close family members, and many friends who will miss him dearly. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, May 27 at 9:30 AM then to Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington where at 11 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Tommy's memory to American Heart Association, 300 5th Avenue, Suite 6, Waltham, MA 02451 or online by clicking here or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online by clicking here.  Please express your condolences to Tommy's family by using our Tribute Wall.
