Hi mom! I found this later than most but I cannot express to you how much I miss you. No amount of words or thoughts or actions will ever bring you back. My heart has been so heavy since you left. I miss you momma I hope you are finally at peace

Bernadette,
Rest your soul. You are special and unique and will always be remembered fondly. We had a lot of fun as children together. We definitely did. You were so much shorter than me, but you had more guts than I could ever muster. You are clever and funny and could always make me laugh. I always had tenderness in my heart for you even though I moved far away many years ago. I know you struggled, and I hope you are getting some rest now.
Peace my friend.
Love,
Lindsay

To the family ; my most deepest condolences on the passing of your beautiful daughter, mother and sister . May God take her by the hand to Paradise. To Bernadette; now that your Angel up above i wanna apologize for not getting you the apple pie ( Hattie’s recipe) that you asked me for last week. I am so sorry I didn’t get a chance I thought you would be with us a little longer. But God doesn’t work that way , he knows when we need that eternal rest . He came and got you, and in the blink of an eye you were gone . I never told you this but I never ever felt jealous of the relationship that you and Dre had, cause I could feel the love you guys both had for each other. He would fly if you called, and you always had his back too . I would tell you stories and you would laugh and say Yup he’s crazy lol … you were his little sister I felt that. I remember when you came over the last time , and you wanted makeup and I said take whatever you want . You saw my red lipstick and said yes this one, I never wore red it doesn’t fit me.., but it looked great on you. I also remember picking you up and taking you back to the hospital, you said Maddy I’m scared and I said “ Bern your safe here !!! And watching them wheel you away I questioned it, we’re you really safe or did I just calm your anxiety. I’m sorry I couldn’t do more for you throughout the years , I remember the meadowlands carnival, we had so much fun, remember that guy that called us on Facebook video and Khaleef and Dre cracked him in the head for calling us !!!!!! Omg they beat him good , your brother always protected you, he would say is it OK l always sayid sure I love Bern. It was never a problem when it was you, picking you up from Newark, going to Paterson, we would wait for Dre to get out the car and I’ll be like omg listen to this story and you would say WHAT!!!! You knew him very very well probably more than me, I wish now we had spent more time with you . I can go on, but I won’t I’ll stop for now you will always be in our hearts and thoughts. The kids are sad too especially Janiyah!!! Now it’s time to rest and watch over your family and friends. Kiss my son Booka for me please . Rest In Peace baby girl

Bernedette - All i keep thinking about was when I met you 42 years ago and we were both just young kids. So much has happened over these years and although we did not see each other for long periods, you were always in my thoughts and prayers. Life was not easy for you and I hope now you are able to rest in peace knowing that you were loved by many. I know you were greeted with open arms by all of the family that went to eternal rest before you. You will always be in my heart "Bern".
XOXOXOXO
"Aunt Donna" - although you only ever called me Donna
