Obituary of Angelo R Facciponti

Angelo R. Facciponti was born to Vincent and Mildred on their one-year wedding anniversary. Raised in Newark, Angelo graduated Barringer High School in 1959. Early in his career, he drove trucks for Coca Cola and Texaco with a 100% safety record. Angelo then chose to further his education at Fullerton Junior College in California, earning a degree in 1970. He returned to New Jersey to wed the love of his life, Genevieve, in 1974. After starting his family in North Arlington, Angelo began his long and successful career as a financial planner, helping hundreds of clients through the best and most difficult times of their lives. In the wake of 9/11, Angelo spearheaded fundraising efforts to support the families of fallen first responders. Angelo was a big-hearted, funny, and loving man. A devoted New York Giants fan, Angelo could often be found at Giants Stadium, surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Genevieve, and his son, Douglas. He will be missed but never forgotten.               

Relatives and friends are invited to attend memorial visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, June 23, 2021 from 6 to 8PM. All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 10AM, then to St. Michael’s Church where at 11AM a Memorial Mass will be offered.  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Diabetes Association. Please respect the family’s decision to wear masks if you are in attendance of visitation and/or mass.
