Obituary of Angelo Garofalo

Garofalo, Angelo, 90, of Lyndhurst, died on Monday, June 21, 2021. Mr. Garofalo was born in Passaic and was a life long resident of Lyndhurst. Angelo was a bread salesman working for Wonder Bread for 32 years, retiring in 1992. After he retired, he did landscaping for 10 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church of Lyndhurst. He was also an avid fan of the NY Mets and NY Giants. Angelo was known as a giving and devoted husband and father. He is survived by his beloved wife of 64 years, Evelyn (nee Hreno) Garofalo, by his daughter, Darlene Mininni and her husband, Mark, and by sons, the late Michael Garofalo (2004) and Thomas Garofalo (2019). Also survived by his brother, John Garofalo, and by his predeceased brothers and sisters, Rose Albanese, James Garofalo, Henry Garofalo, Helen Guerriero, Josephine Reina, Lucy Diuro, Sarah Harriman, Dorothy Garofalo and Katherine Mrok. He is survived by many loving nieces, nephews and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, June 24, 2021 from 4 to 8pm. All will gather on Friday, June 25th at 10am with a funeral service beginning at 11am.  Interment to follow, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Please express condolences to Angelo's family by using our tribute wall.
