Obituary of Janet Vail

Vail, Janet (nee Lamendola), 77, died on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.  Mrs. Vail was born in Jersey City, raised in Lyndhurst, and lived in Bloomingdale after getting married.  She then moved to West Milford before returning to Lyndhurst.  Janet raised her family as a homemaker and began working once her children were older.  She worked as a data entry clerk for Hudson Wholesale in Lyndhurst and Totowa for many years before going on to work as a bookkeeper for Ecco Bella Botanicals in Wayne.  She loved to cook for her family and will be missed by those who knew and loved her.  Janet is survived by her loving children, Scott Vail (Stephanie) and Katherine Vail, by her cherished grandchildren, Sarah and Brooke Vail, by her brothers and sisters, Teresa McGuire (George), Arthur "Butchie" Lamendola (Mary), Patricia Miles (Chic), Joseph Lamendola (Patricia), and the late, James Lamendola (the late Denise), and by many nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, July 23, 2021 from 5 - 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, July 24 at 9 AM then to Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Private cremation will follow.  In lieu of flowers, Janet's family requests donations be made in her memory to Arthritis Foundation, P.O.
