Obituary of Yeramas Tooma

Tooma, Yeramas "Fred," 84, died on Monday, August 16, 2021.  Mr. Tooma was born in Mashad, Iran and moved to the United States in 1977.  He lived in Paterson, NJ before moving to Los Angeles, CA where he lived for 7 years.  Yeramas then moved back to the East Coast, living in Yonkers, NY before moving to Clifton where he was a resident for the past 4 years.  Fred worked as a general manager of Allan Carpet in Yonkers for many years, retiring in 2009.  He is survived by his loving children, Karolin Thomas, Karlo Tooma and his wife, Ruby, and Doris Tooma, by his brother, Aprim Tooma, by his nephews, William Tooma, who was like a son to him, Wilson Tooma and his wife, Narine, and Sam Tooma, and by his nieces, nephews, and cousins.  He was predeceased by his brothers, Daniel and Haval Tooma.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 10:30 AM.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ.
