Obituary of Leonel J. Aguiar

Aguiar, Leonel J., 59, of North Arlington, died on Saturday, September 11, 2021.  Mr. Aguiar was born in Santa Clara, Cuba and immigrated to the United States with his family when he was 9 years old.  He first lived in Union City before moving to Kearny and then settling in North Arlington.  Leonel owned his own businesses; first, Laces, Laces, Laces in Union City and then Porto Paving in North Arlington.  He most recently worked as a sales associate for Lowe's Home Improvement in Jersey City.  A devout Christian, he was a man of faith and a committed servant and son of the Lord.  Leonel is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Elacy Aguiar (nee Porto), by his loving children, Elias, Isaac, Leonel, and Lenna Aguiar, by his cherished grandchildren, Anastasia, Isiah, Sophia, and Elijah, by his dear brothers, Freddy and Randy Aguiar, and by his nieces and nephews.  He was predecased by his brother, Tony Aguiar.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 9 - 11 AM.  A funeral service will begin at 11 AM.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  You may express your condolences to Leonel's family by using our tribute wall.
