Obituary of Bernard P. Grasso

Grasso, Bernard P., 69, passed away at home on Friday, February 4, 2022 surrounded by his family.  Mr. Grasso was born in Vallata, Italy and moved to the United States in 1957 where he lived in Newark.  He lived most of his life in Lyndhurst and was a resident of North Arlington for the past 10 years.  Bernard worked as a purchasing agent for NJ Transit for many years and also worked for other transit agencies during his career.  He was a coffee connoisseur, lover of Las Vegas, an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys, and loved the holiday season, with Christmas being his favorite holiday.  Bernard was predeceased by his parents, the late Carmine and Concetta (nee Roina) Grasso.  He is survived by his dear sister, Geraldine Giustozzi (nee Grasso) and her husband Louis, by his loving nieces and nephew, Rosemary Albecker and her husband, Russell, Rita Sandler and her husband, Erich, and Robert Giustozzi, by his cherished grand nieces and grand nephews, Emma, Sofia, Emily, Isabella, Gianna, Louis, Daniel, and Rocco, and by his cousin, Carmine Grasso.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, February 7, 2022 from 4 - 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at 9 AM then to Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the American Cancer Society, P.O.
