Obituary of Laurie Ciappa-Connors

Ciappa-Connors, Laurie, 61, died on Sunday, February 6, 2022. Laurie was born and raised in Jersey City and lived in Lyndhurst all of her life.  She was a Medical Assistant for Care Station of Secaucus before retiring.  Laurie is predeceased by her parents, the late Attilio Ciappa and Dorothea Ciappa- Scarpa (nee Ihrig) and her brother, the late Robert Ciappa.  She is survived by her beloved husband of 24 years, Bernard Connors, by her devoted daughter, Elyse Ciappa-Montiel & her husband, Ricardo, by her beautiful twin grandbabies, Alexandria and Gunnar Montiel, by her brother, Richard Ciappa and her sister Jeanne Ayala & her husband, William, by her step father, John "Rocco" Scarpa and her nephew, William John Ayala. Laurie will be missed by all her many family and friends.  

Cremation was private and under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home Inc.  Memorial Mass for Laurie will be offered at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Lyndhurst on Wednesday, February 16, 2022, beginning at 10AM.  Please express condolences to her family by using our tribute wall.
