Obituary of Evelyn C. Romano

Romano, Evelyn C. (nee Trause), 98, died on Thursday, February 17, 2022.  Mrs. Romano was born in Carlstadt and lived most of her life in Lyndhurst where she was a homemaker for her family.  Evelyn loved to crochet and put her passion to good use when working for an embroidery factory in Carlstadt.  She was a member of the Seniors Club in Lyndhurst and was a devoted parishioner of Sacred Heart Church where she was also a member of the church's Rosary Society.  Evelyn was predeceased by her beloved husband, Philip J. Romano in 1991 and is survived by their loving children, Lawrence Romano and his wife, Mary Jo and Evelyn E. Romano, by her cherished grandchildren, Laurissa Norwick and her husband, James, Alisa Scullin and her husband, Joseph, and Lawrence Romano, Jr., by her dear great grandchildren, Halley and Quinn Scullin, and by her sister-in-law, Anna Marie Trause.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 from 11 AM - 12:30 PM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 1 PM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Hillside Cemetery, Lyndhurst.  You may express your condolences to Evelyn's family by using our tribute wall.
