Obituary of Patricia Ann LaSpada

Patrica A. (nee McGuire) LaSpada, 81, died on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at home surrounded by her children.  Patricia was born in Middletown, NY, raised in Kearny, and has resided in Lyndhurst since 1970.  She was a crossing guard for the Lyndhurst School District, stationed on the corner of Page and Riverside Avenues, retiring after 40+ years of service.  Patricia loved her family, had a genuine love for animals and was an avid reader, who enjoyed spending time at the Lyndhurst Public Library.   She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph LaSpada who passed in March of last year.  She is survived by her loving children, Leigh DelPorto and husband, Jeffrey, Christine Coppola and husband, Anthony and Joseph Stephen LaSpada, by her dear grandchildren, Brandon Michael DelPorto, Nicholas Anthony Coppola and Ashley Elizabeth Coppola, by her sister-in-law, Sally Bosveld and brother-in-law, Anthony LaSpada and his wife, Cheryl and by many nieces and nephews.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071.  A memorial gathering for Patricia will be planned at a future date.  You may express condolences to her family by using our tribute wall.
