Obituary of MaryJean Cardo

Cardo, MaryJean (nee Perello), 83, died on Monday, March 7, 2022.  Mrs. Cardo was born in Newark, raised and lived her entire life in Lyndhurst, never leaving Copeland Avenue.  She was an Executive Secretary for Foster Wheeler Environmental, Morris Plains for many years before retiring.  MaryJean was an active parishioner of Mount Carmel, including the feast committee and enjoyed being the organizer of her Lyndhurst High School class reunions. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Frank Cardo, by her loving sons, Frank, Jr. & his wife, Lisa, Mark & his wife, Miriam, Nicholas & his wife, Iliana and James & his wife, Lynn., by her cherished grandchildren, Amanda Cavanaugh(Robert), Frank Cardo (Brianne), Treavor Cardo, Austin Cardo(Brianna), Mackenzie, Nicholas, William, Samantha and Chelsea Cardo and great grandchild, Mason Lee Cardo,  Also survived by her brother, Phillip Perello & his wife, Jan and her sister, Kathleen Yarrow & her husband, Walter.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, March 10, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, March 11, 2022 at 9AM, then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  Please express condolences to MaryJean's family by using our tribute wall.
