Obituary of Anthony Amato, Jr.
Amato, Anthony, Jr., 83, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2022. Mr. Amato was born in Hackensack, raised in North Arlington, living in southern Bergen County until 2017 then moving to Hackettstown, where he has lived since. He was a very proud member of United States Marine Corps, serving two terms from 1958-1964. He was a Foreman for Wakefern Co., of Elizabeth for many years before retiring. He was predeceased by his loving parents Anthony and Frances (Mancuso) Amato, by his son, James Amato, and also by his adoring sisters, Jeanette Blevis and June Rose Germinario. He is survived by his daughters, Abbie Ventola, Gertrude Hammond, sons, Michael and David Amato, by his dear grandchildren, his sisters, Phyllis Bacek and Nancy Loviglio & her husband, Frank and by many nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service and inurnment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum on Monday, March 21, 2022 at 12PM Please arrive at 11:45am.
