Imperato, Janet L., 67, of Bloomfield, died on Thursday, March 17, 2022.  Janet was born and raised in Lyndhurst and lived in Bloomfield for the past 10 years.  She was a talented hair stylist and used that talent to open her own salon in Bloomfield and then Upper Montclair.  Later in life, Janet enjoyed gardening and had an eye and passion for decorating her home, specifically her backyard which she would turn into a beautiful wonderland.  She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Fay (nee Morrone) Imperato and by her brothers, Bill and Frank Imperato.  Janet is survived by her fiancé and companion, Richard J. Bryda, by her dear sister, Judy A. LaPenna and her husband, Vito, by her cherished nieces and nephews, Daniel, Todd, Stephanie, and Heather, and by her 8 great nieces and great nephews who were a highlight in Janet's world.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, March 21, 2022 from 11:30 AM - 12:45 PM  then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 1 PM a funeral mass will be offered.  Cremation will be private.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Janet's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
