Obituary of Bernard W. Schultz

Schultz, Bernard W. "Bernie", 80, of Toms River, died on Friday, May 27, 2022.  Mr. Schultz was born in Newark, raised in Kearny, living in Toms River the past 6 years.  Bernard was a US Navy Veteran serving from1962 to1964, then in the Navy reserves from 1965 to 1978. Bernie worked as a salesman for Bobker Bearers Inc. of Carlstadt for over 15 years, before retiring in 2005.  He was a member of the Tin Can Sailors Association of New Jersey and George Vanderveer American Legion Post #129 of Toms River.  Bernard is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Joyce Schultz (nee LaRusso), by his loving daughters, Denise Ganzer & her husband, Greg Hetrick and Melissa Zola & her husband, Michael, by his stepsons, Thomas Candia & his wife, Jeanine and Robert Candia & his wife, Jessica, and by his dear grandchildren, William, Alexandria, David, Peter and Nicolas.  Bernard is also survived by his brother, Richard Schultz & his wife, Karen.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 from 3 -7PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at 10 AM.  Funeral service begins 11AM.  Interment, St. Joseph Cemetery, Lyndhurst.  In liue of flowers, donations may be made in Bernard's memory to the Muscular Dystrophy Association WEB PO Box 97075, Washington, DC 20090-7075 or at www.mda.org.  You may express your condolences to Bernard's family by using our tribute wall.
