Obituary of Angela R Paterno

Paterno, Angela R., (nee Bellino), 100, died peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2022, at her home.  Mrs. Paterno was born and raised in Jersey City and has lived in Lyndhurst for most of her beautiful, long life.  She was a travel agent for Regis Travel of Rutherford for many years and had the remarkable opportunity to experience such places as South America, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Canary Islands and several other interesting European countries.  Angela placed her family and friends before herself and shared her kindness to all who met her.  She enjoyed life and handled all hardships with grace and dignity.  Her invigorating sense of humor spread love and happiness; it was a pleasure to be in her company.  She will be deeply missed by all.  Angela was predeceased by her beloved husband, Vincent J. Paterno, in 1986.  She is survived by her loving daughters, Rosemarie Pratt & her husband, Carlos, Michele Paterno Brooks, and Joanne Lamego & her partner, Tom Hemhauser; by her dear grandchildren, Richard (Marye) and Brian Hartman, Danny and Michael (Deanna) Lamego; by her great grandchildren, Jeremy and Meghan Hartman, Vienna and Rocco Lamego, and Michael Lamego, Jr.; by her "daughter by heart", Elaine Danielovich, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.   

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 3 to 7PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at 9AM, then to Sacred Heart Church, where, at 10AM, a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment to follow, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
