I met Rosemary when I was in grade school with Denis and thought she was a pretty neat Mom. Years went by and one day Denis called and asked if we wanted to join him and his Mom for the Tony Awards. Well that started a whole new friendship. I was amazed how beautiful she still was after all these years. Ron and I used to go to many black tie events and I was known for my formal gowns but Rosemary could give me a run for the money. She had the most beautiful gowns, perfect hair and nails and shoes that were so hot. I remember Denis telling me she broke her ankles in a car accident yet here she was flying around NYC in 4 inch heels studded with rhinestones. Before the Tonys, we'd take them to the Rainbow room for drinks and dinner. She always ordered more than she could eat but Ron was always able to help her finish. She was funny, charming and fun to be with. She had the best job and was the perfect person to give away her employers money to needy charities. She, Denis and Esther would come to my house for a Christmas celebration and we went to her new home in Brentwood. She was so excited to show off her new home which was beautiful but instead of down sizing she upsized. She must have told me, "A woman never tells her age, so don't ask me". She also asked us to join her in Spring Lake about 3 times before we left. One day, I asked Denis how old his mother was and he said, "I really don't know"! As a good son, he was probably keeping her well guarded secret. We would go out to dinner with her and she was always dressed to the nines. I remember admiring her beautiful dress bag and she proudly said, "Denis bought it for me"! I remembering thinking, then that means it cost more than my dress, bag and shoes put together.
but that was Rosemary. Perfect dress, hair and nails. Rosemary was blessed with the perfect, caring and exciting son and he was blessed with the best Mom. They had many, many years of adventures and the best of times. Denis and she had a great life of being best of friends and enjoying a wonderful life. You are very lucky Denis.

We especially recall going on cruises with the very sweet Rosemary. Traveling with her served to create a sense of glamour, elegance and sophistication. Many evenings at dinner she would tell us stories that would entertain us. Without doubt, the most beautiful thing about Rosemary was her love and devotion to her son Denis. We will greatly miss Rosemary, while remembering her generous, gracious spirit and the wonderful times we shared with her.
Our love & prayers for Denis and all of Rosemary’s family.
