Kmeck, Helen (nee Chabin), 92, died peacefully on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Mrs. Kmeck was born and raised in Jersey City, moving to Lyndhurst in 1961, where she has lived ever since. Helen had the most important careers a woman could have, that of a homemaker, caring and loving her husband, children and grandchildren all through her years. She was a life long active parishioner of St. Mary’s Byzantine Catholic Church in Jersey City, and an avid Yankee fan, always watching the games with her family by her side. Helen is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, George Kmeck in 2011 and her son, William Kmeck in 2012 and her sister, Anne Plahovinsak in 2012. She is survived by her loving children, George Kmeck and his wife, Sharon, and Karen Kmeck-Burke, by her dear grandchildren, Phoebe, Max, Jamie and Adam, her great grandchildren, Peter and Eva and her brother, John Chabin, Jr and a host of nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 10AM-11:30AM.
