Obituary of Richard G. McGill

McGill, Richard, 87, of Lyndhurst, died on Monday, September 19, 2022.  Richard was born and raised in Newark and has lived for over 40 years in Lyndhurst.  He served in the United States Army.  Richard was a driver  for United Parcel Service of  Secaucus for 32 years,  retiring in 1998.  At the age of 80, Richard took a creative writing class at the Kipp Center in Rutherford and self published a book, entitled "Opening Another Door at 80",  He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Suzann A. McGill (nee Michna), by his loving daughter and son, Susan M. McGill and Richard G. McGill and by many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiiation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 3 to 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, September 23, 2022 at 9AM. Then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Richard’s memory to The Kipp Center, 55 Kipp Center, Rutherford, NJ 07070.
