Obituary of Joseph F. Beirne

Beirne, Joseph F. of Lyndhurst, died on November 4, 2022. Mr. Beirne was born and raised in Jersey City and has been a resident of Lyndhurst for over 50 years.

He was a graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University and an Air Force Veteran of the Korean War, serving 1951 to 1955.  He was a dedicated parishioner of St. Michael's R.C. Church, Lyndhurst  for 66 years, where he served as an usher and Holy Name Society member.  Before retiring in 1995, he was National Credit Manager for General Felt Industries, Inc. Saddle Brook where he was employed for twenty three years.  Former president Roundtable Floor Covering and Atlanta Floor Covering Credit Groups.  He was past president and charter member of the Lyndhurst Republican Club, Inc. 

Joseph was the beloved husband for 66 years of Rosemarie (nee La Faso), devoted father of Barbara Russo and her husband Louis, Patrice Cook and her husband William, loving grandfather to Geena Russo and her husband Charles, Glen Cook and his wife Jenna, Joseph Cook and his girlfriend Eliza and great grandfather to Amelia and Benjamin Cook.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday, November 9, 2022 from 4 to 8 PM.   All will gather at the funeral home on Thursdy, November 10, 2022 at 9AM. Then to St. Michael's Church, Ridge Road,Lyndhurst, where at 10AM a funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment to follow at  Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joseph's memory to St. Michael's R.C. Church, 624 Page Avenue, Lyndhurst, NJ 07071. You may express condolences to Joseph's family by using our tribute wall.
