Edith “Edie” (Cortese) Rosa passed away on Tuesday, December 6, 2022. Edie was born to Joseph Sr. and Edith (Howlett) Cortese in Lyndhurst, NJ where she grew up and raised her three children. Edie devoted herself to her family and sacrificed much to ensure they had a good life. She worked at FlexiVan as a Payroll Clerk for many years until her retirement in 2006.  She was always generous with everyone and never wanted the credit for any of her gestures. Edie would be happy to know her legacy of family values and devotion will live on through her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and the generations to come.  Edie is predeceased by her parents and four siblings. She is survived by her loving children, James Rosa, Elaine (Paul) Shea, and David (Debbie) Rosa; her grandchildren Nicole, Lauren (Scott) Gavin, Michelle, and James Jr.; and her great-grandchildren Kelly and Kaylee Gavin.

Family and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Wednesday December 14, 2022 from 4 – 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 9am, then to Sacred Heart Church, where at 10am a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
