Dear Mom,
Here we are a year has passed since you entered paradise. It will never be easy no matter how many years pass just like waking up in the morning or going to sleep at night is not. Dear Mom,
Oh how busy you always were today delighting everyone with all the sweets, preparing the meal and reminiscing of all the traditions. I know last year you heard me when I was asking you about the pizzelle. These memories will never leave me but this time of the year will never be the same without you. My Dearest Mom, a year ago on this date everything changed and I am here still asking why. I wish you were here because this has been a year of absolute heartbreak and sorrow. Your dear Zio Paolo was laid to rest today and although so very sad he is at peace. I am sure he gave you the biggest hug; Estelle found a beautiful picture of the two of you.
I miss you Ma so much and it is unbelievable that the year will soon be over. Keep visiting me in my dreams. I Love you and I know you know that. Watch over all of us as you always have.

My dearest Mom,
Today will not be easy for any of us we miss you every minute but especially at this time of the year. we are thankful for you and all that you taught us, shared with us, how you loved us. Thank you for watching over Papa and keeping him safe, he misses you very much. Help us be strong because losing you is a pain that I cannot explain and one that will never end. It is unbelievable that a month has already gone by since you entered paradise and it is so hard to go through each day.
