Obituary of Charles Luisa

Luisa, Charles, 100, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family.  Mr. Luisa was born in Italy and moved to the United States in 1949, first living in Brooklyn, NY then Queens and finally settling in Lyndhurst in 1980.  Charles worked for Terazzo & Tile Work for 15 years and then entered the United Cement Masons Union, Local 780 of New York where he worked for over 45 years.  He loved his garden, especially his tomatoes.  Charles was predeceased by his beloved wife, Frida R. Luisa (nee Roman) in 2017 and is survived by their loving children, Peter C. Luisa and his wife, Cathryn and Albert C. Luisa and his wife, Carolyn, by his cherished grandchildren, Joseph and his wife, Shannon, Jonathan and his wife, Michelle, Hayley, Charles, and Steven Luisa, and by his dear great grandchild, Andrew Luisa.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Sunday, March 12, 2023 from 2 to 6 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Monday, March 13 at 9 AM, then to Sacred Heart Church where at 10 AM a funeral Mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  You may express condolences to Charles' family by using our tribute wall.
