Obituary of Cathleen J. Trangone

Cathleen J. Trangone (Bott), 70, passed away March 12, 2023.  Born in Jersey City, Cathleen resided in Rutherford and Brick Township prior to meeting the love of her life and settling in Lyndhurst for the past 49 years.  She was employed by Chubb Insurance until her retirement in 2016.

Cathi was the beloved wife of 47 years to Frank.  She was the proud mother of daughter Joy and her husband William, son Frank Jr. and his wife Sandy, and son Joseph and his wife Anabela.  She was the loving grandmother of Jamarrie, Wynter, Mason, Daniella, Samantha, Joseph Jr., and predeceased by her granddaughter Jessica (2013).  She was the cherished sister of Roger and his wife Gail and Dennis and his wife Cynthia.  She was the best “bud” for over 30 years to Joann and Jerome Onnembo.  Cathi is also survived by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends, as well as her grandpuppies Rambo, Dallas, and Brooklyn. 

There are some who bring a light so great to the world that even after they have gone the light remains.  Cathi was that light.  She was loved by all and was an inspiration to so many.  Cathi’s family requests that an act of kindness be performed in her honor as they know she believed the best gift that could be given is the gift of helping others.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, March 16, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, March 17th at 9 AM, then to Church of the Assumption, 143 1st Street, Wood Ridge where at 10:30 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  You may express condolences to her family by using our tribute wall.
