Mildred (DeLuca) Wolstenholme Smith, 100, of Lyndhurst, passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023. Mrs. Smith lived in Kearny for 48 years and is currently a resident of Lyndhurst for over 50 years. Mildred has worked for Wilkata Folding Box Co., of Kearny for 22 years. In her later years, Mildred worked with her daughter at Paladium Palace, greeting customers and taking care of the front desk. She had been a member of Rosary Society of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, Mt. Carmel Seniors and Loops of Love and worked the feast every year until she was 92. Mildred was predeceased by her beloved husband, George Wolstenholme in 1965 and Arthur Smith in 1997, by her son, George Wolstenholme, Jr. in 1965 and by her daughter, Debra Ann Hemhauser in 2010. She is survived by her loving daughters, Sandra Valeri and Diane Vass and her husband, Robert, by her grandchildren, Anthony Valeri, Lisa Robles and Laura Molina and by her great grandchildren, Olivia Molina, Alex and Daniel Quisbert. Also survived by her brother, Peter DeLuca, Jr. and her sister, Rose Burdick.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, April 27, 2023 from 3 - 7PM. All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, April 28, 2023 at 9 AM, then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst , where at 10 AM, a funeral mass will be offered. Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
