Obituary of Salvatore Caruso

Caruso, Salvatore, 81, of Lyndhurst, died on Sunday, May 21, 2023.  Mr. Caruso was born in Modica, Italy and moved to the United States in 1974, where he settled in Lyndhurst with his wife, Rosa.  He started working as a tailor at 11 years old in Italy and continued his trade here, becoming the owner of Roma Tailoring and Cleaning located on Hackensack Street in Wood Ridge where he worked 6 days a week.  He will always be remembered as a selfless man.  Salvatore was predeceased by his beloved wife of  nearly 51 years, Rosa (Buscema) Caruso in December 2020. He is survived by his loving children, Graziella Caruso-Lupo & her husband, Brian and Giuseppina Lloyd and Antonio Caruso, and by his dear grandchildren, Gianna and Brian Lupo and Emily and Owen Lloyd.  Salvatore was an amazing person, as a husband, father, Nonno, and friend.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Thursday, May 25, 2023 from 5 to 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Friday, May 26th at 9 AM then to Sacred Heart Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  Please express your condolences to Salvatore's family by using our Tribute Wall.
