Obituary of Angela P. Garofolo

Garofolo, Angela (nee Colacurcio), 83, of Lyndhurst, died on Friday, May 26, 2023.  Mrs. Garofolo was born in Jersey City and has lived in Lyndhurst most of her life.  Angela was a beautician for many years and was the co-owner of Nicky Novelties in Lyndhurst for over 50 years with her husband.  She also helped organize the morning and after school programs at Roosevelt School and was a devoted parishioner of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst. Angela is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Nicholas Garofolo, by their loving children, Nicholas Garofolo, Jr. and his wife, Joanne, Antoinette "Toni" McGeehan and her husband, Timothy, and Ralph Garofolo and his wife, Loren, by her cherished grandchildren, Haley, Nicky, Samantha, Zachary, Taylor, and Kevin, by her dear brother, Steven Colacurcio and his wife, Lucille, and by her "son" Joe Candido.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 4 to 8 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 31 at 9 AM then to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, Lyndhurst where at 10 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Private cremation to follow.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or online by clicking here.  You may express your condolences to Angela's family by using our tribute wall.
