Obituary of James E Frain

Frain, Jr., James Edward, 94, of Lyndhurst, died on Wednesday, June 27, 2023 at his home.  Mr. Frain was born in Jersey City, raised in Rutherford, married, and moved to Lyndhurst in 1954. He also lived in North Arlington.  In 2006, he moved to Barnegat for 10 years, before moving back to the Rutherford/Lyndhurst area.  He was a US Navy Veteran during the Korean War (1948-1952).   James was a Quality Control Supervisor for Western Electric, Kearny, starting at age 17, retiring in 1985.  He was a very handy man, and helped repair and restore everything for his family and friends, especially TVs.  He is predeceased by his beloved wife, June Frain (nee Chakoojian) in 2012 and his sister, Marilyn Hall.  He is survived by his loving son, Robert Frain, by his brother, Jeremiah Frain (Barbara), and many nieces and nephews.  James is also survived by his best friend in the world, Kimun Kim, who provided care and comfort to him in his later years. 

 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held on Friday, June 30, 2023 at 9:30am at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc. 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst.  Then to Sacred Heart Church, where at 11AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Interment to follow, Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield.  In lieu of flowers, kindly consider a donation in James’ memory to the Alzheimer Association.  You may express condolences to his family by using our tribute wall.
