It was a real honor to have met Josephine when we visited the Torre family in 2020. We shared the same reading hobby and I was able to share with her some of the books I read. What I remember the most about her was her kindness, welcoming personality and smile. We will miss her, but never forget her.

The Lyndhurst Historical Society sends condolences to the Carpino family for their loss. We were pleased to welcome Ms. Carpino at the Little Red Schoolhouse on a recent visit and enjoyed hearing her account of her time spent as a student from 1933-1936. We are so happy that she was able to revisit and shared her memories. May she rest in peace.

To a beautiful woman, Josephine (Jo as I knew her) was one of the most gracious women I knew. She had a beautiful smile that lit up a room. I enjoyed the many tennis years and the memories we shared together. Karin Battle ❤️
