Josephine Carpino passed away August 17th, 2023 at the age of 95.  Josephine was born January 29th, 1928 to John and Valverdine Carpino. She attended the historic Little Red Schoolhouse in Lyndhurst and graduated from Lyndhurst High School Class of 1945.  She worked for Jeep and Mortrench Engineering before joining Hoffman La Roche, where she was employed for 20 years in the Drug Regulatory Affairs department where she made drug submissions to the FDA. She was also the tennis champion of Hoffman La Roche for many years in a row, a member of Arlington Players Club, and a former secretary of the Ho-Ho-Kus Seniors.

She is survived by her loving children, Guido Boggio of Leland, NC and Lia (nee Boggio) and her husband, Joseph R. Torre of Hasbrouck Heights, four adoring grandchildren and their spouses, Michele and Scott Halpern, Lia Jean and Steve Littlewood, Joseph and Luisa Torre, and Theresa and Leo Ehrline, and five great-grandchildren who she cherished.  Josephine will be remembered for her sense of style, dedication to her family, and graciousness to all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Josephine's funeral mass at Sacred Heart Church, 324 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 at 10 AM.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.  We kindly ask that you omit flowers and meet directly at Sacred Heart Church as there will be no visitation at the funeral home.  You may express your condolences to Josephine's family by using our tribute wall.  Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ.
