I just wished Denis a happy birthday on Facebook and noticed he hadn't left a post since 2020. I then googled his name. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I loved Denis. I'm an actress and met him through my late actor friend, Will MacAdam. Denis was such a gentleman and so smart and kind. I admired his talent and his sweet personality. May he RIP. My deepest condolences to his family.

Denis and I are first cousins, I have a few memories from childhood like when my Aunt Rosemarie took Denis and I to see the movie Pollyanna, I still remember sitting between Denis and his mom, Rosemarie, I think I was about 6 or so. Denis asked his mom questions the whole movie, obviously his interest in show business started early. Unfortunately, our families lost contact with each other for decades, which was sad for both families. Several years ago, though, Denis and I reconnected via Facebook, I was so happy to have my cousin back in my life. I would always send Denis pictures of my grandkids and when Denis responded how cute they were I would always remind him they are his family also. I miss Denis so much.

Denis is my first cousin, our dads were brothers. I still remember my mom and dad driving from NY and leaving me with Denis his mom and his dad for the weekend. Aunt Rosemarie took Denis and I to see Pollyanna. I still remember that night clearly despite being only about 6 or so. I sat between Denis and his mom and the whole time the movie was on Denis kept leaning over to ask his mom questions. I guess his interest in show business started early. Unfortunately, our family and Denis's family lost contact when we were both quite young and I only recently reconnected with Denis through facebook. I enjoyed having this connection back and we shared pictures and I loved hearing about Denis and his show biz adventures. I was always sending Denis pictures of my 3 very young grandkids, and he would always say, Deb, you have a lovely family, I would remind Denis this was part of his family too. I thought it unusual when I recently sent him some pictures and I didn't hear back from him. I went onto facebook and reached out to some people he posted about and that is how I heard of his passing. I am so sad and lost one of the few connections I have with my past. Denis was a person I would have enjoyed getting to know not through email but in person, in life. I am so glad to have known him even if for a short time.

Denis and I are cousins, related through our fathers who wee brothers. I still remember as a young girl my Aunt Rosemarie, Denis's mother, taking us both to see Pollyanna. It is one of the few memoires I have from early in life as our family grew apart. I rediscovered Denis through facebook and I am so sorry our reconnection time was so short. May your soul rest in peace, I am so glad we got to know each other again even if just for a short time. Denis.

My heart is broken to lose such a special friend as Denis. Denis and I knew each other from the 4th grade. We lived on the same block and took the school bus every day. I was never a really good friend in school, but he did come to some of our youth group events to see his friends.
Years lapsed and we were having a HS reunion. My husband and I had gone to many, but most of my friends passed with some excuse, so I really didn’t want to go anymore. Out of the blue, I heard from Denis who said Randy is coming in for the reunion, and did I want to join them. Well, that was the beginning of a wonderful friendship. One year Denis and I both came to a reunion in black leather pants. We looked like the “Dynamic Duo” and Denis said, “smart people think alike”!
Denis, my husband Ron and I became very close. Denis loved to dress formal, like us, so one year he treated us to The Tony Awards with his Mom. Tux's and gowns here we come. Every year, for five years he treated us to this event in June. We of course, would pick up the tab for dinner at the Rainbow Room which put a whole in my husband’s wallet. But who cared since, it was always an amazing night. Seeing all those “Movie Stars” and actually meeting James Galdofini and Steven Webber from Wings, thanks to Denis.
We had friends in Woodstock and every year they would have a crazy party with 400 people. So we started bringing Denis and the three of us would spend the weekend reminiscing about the wild days of yester years. However, I never saw Denis in “bellbottoms.” It just wasn’t his style! Talk about style, whenever you saw Denis, he always looked like he just walked out of “Vogue.”
Denis did many part time acting jobs, especially for “Law and Order”. It always gave me a thrill to see him on TV, even though he never had a speaking part, but he looked good. The older he got, the more parts he received, maybe because he aged so well. Even now, he was in the middle of directing a one woman show with his friend and he was so excited about his new project.
His friendship added a lot of joy to our lives, and we went to parties (many at my house) and dances where we would dance the night away. He was a great dancer.
We really became even closer when I met Carol Higgins Clark (daughter of Mary), who was also a famous writer and part time actress, and we became great friends. I introduced Denis to her and we all became instant friends, becoming a fun foursome. Carol and Denis would share stories of famous actors they met, which made for an exciting night. Unfortunately, she passed away this past June and we were so sad. The three of us went to the wake in the city and had our own little memorial for Carol at Neary’s restaurant which she loved.
I had the good luck to see Denis two weeks before he passed when he came for a visit. He stayed from 1-10pm with nonstop talking and laughs. He looked so healthy and perfect; I can’t believe he’s gone. He was one of a kind; happy, funny and caring. You meet people during your lifetime that makes it amazing, and Denis was one of them. I’m so sad at his passing, but blessed that I had many wonderful years of memories, and I will never forget him. He’s probably in heaven directing a play with the angels.

I have known Denis since 2nd grade at Stony Lane school in Paramus. Our friendship grew during high school and thereafter. I was honored to be chosen as his best man at his wedding, and was later sorry to hear of his divorce. Denis was such a kind and thoughtful person. He always remembered special occasions, expressed interest and concern for me, my wife and children. He will be dearly missed.

Denis was one of my dearest, most cherished friends. We met on the set of Law & Order in 1990, worked together for five wonderful, laugh-filled years and our friendship continued on from there with never skipping a beat. We were constantly in touch with each other and went to see an enormous amount of plays and films together over the decades. We made great use of the texting function on our phones, laughing at the inanities of things like reality TV shows while also expressing our mounting horror at what was going on in the “real world.”
Denis was the kindest, most generous hearted person I’ve ever known. I was incredibly fortunate to have him as my friend.

Denis was one of my dearest, most cherished friends. We met on the set of Law & Order in 1990. We worked together there for five extremely happy years and continued our friendship from then on. We saw many plays and films together and constantly kept in touch over the years, texting on everything from reality TV to the national and world events we were witnessing, often with incredulity. Denis was the kindest, most generous hearted person I knew. I was extremely fortunate to have had him as my friend for over thirty three years.
