Tarpata, Mary (nee Postek), 82, died on Tuesday, November 7, 2023.  Mrs. Tarapata was born in Kolno, Poland, and lived most of her life in Kearny.  She was a Home Health Aide for the St. Barnabas Healthcare System before she retired.  Mary is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael in 2019, her sons, Henry and Richard, by her first grandchild, Matthew, and also by her brothers and sister.  Mary is survived by her loving daughter, Wanda Tarapata  & her husband,  Michael Schenk and her daughter in law, Iwona, by her dear grandchildren, Lauren and her fiancé, Patrick, Steven, and Nicholas and by her loving nieces and nephews, especially Bogusia and Wandzia.  Mary is also survived by her loving caretaker, Gina, who has been more like family over time. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation held at the Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst on Saturday, November 11, 2023 at 8AM, then to St. Michaels Church, where at 8:45AM a Funeral Mass will be offered.  Interment, Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington.
