My heart holds fond memories of Mrs. Ruvo in our Roosevelt School classroom in 1983-84. She was firm, fair and funny and an educator I came to appreciate as I pursued a career in education. As seventh and eighth graders, she helped us become independent, responsible and ready for the grade levels that awaited us.
