Manzo, Paul, 96, of Jersey City, died on Wednesday, December 13, 2023.  Mr. Manzo was born in Duronia, Casale, Italy and moved to Jersey City in his early twenties where he currently resided.  Paul was an accomplished tailor over the course of his life and began his career as the owner of a men’s suit shop in Duronia, Italy.  After moving to the United States, he became foreman at Henderson’s Coat Company in Jersey City and later was a sample maker for Junior Gallery in NYC and Secaucus, retiring at age 72.  He took pride in making coats for his friends and family and delivering them on Christmas Eve.  Paul loved people and spending time with them, and he especially enjoyed talking with his relatives in Italy and Canada.  He was a selfless man who would do anything for anyone.  He enjoyed hunting, spending summers in the mountains with his family, and of course driving his Jeep.  Paul was a good person, a hard worker, and always dressed up, often noting the importance of wearing a tie.  A true family man, many people referred to him as Uncle Paul even if he was not their uncle.  Paul is survived by his beloved wife of 74 years this past September, Domenica Manzo (nee DiSalvo), by their loving children, Estelle Manzo-Murphy and her husband, Tom and Diane Manzo Yildirimlar and her husband, Serdar, by his cherished grandson, Sam Yildirimlar, by his dear brother, Vitale Manzo, and by his late sisters and brother, Giovanina Ricciuto, Americo Manzo, and Maria Manzo. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Nazare Memorial Home, Inc., 403 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst, NJ on Friday, December 15, 2023 from 3 – 7 PM.  All will gather at the funeral home on Saturday, December 16 at 10:30 AM then to St. Michael’s Church, Lyndhurst where at 11:30 AM a funeral mass will be offered.  Entombment, Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N.
